Arctic Monkeys - The View From The Afternoon live @ First Avenue 5/7/07

OK, I'll give a sneak peek of the wrap-up of the big Arctic Monkeys gig Monday night in Minneapolis. Here's a video I shot of "The View From The Afternoon". It features a classic stage dive by one "portly" British Rugby player at the 00:45 mark. Check it out, it's classic:

Wow, the gig was absolutely fucking brilliant. Until I get my stuff up (trust me, it's worth the wait), check out Brody's pics and Erik's review.

Update: Due to popular demand the video is up on YouTube. Also, you can download the original video here (85MB). Go Old Laurentian RFC!

Great vid Steve. Look forward to the rest of the stuff you got from the show. I know we all had high expectations going in, but isn't it great when the gig even exceeds the expectations. Nice to relive the stagediver-it was like the parting of the red sea in the crowd. No one wanted to be crushed by that guy. Nice work-I'm jealous you ran into Alex after the show. Cheers.

The Rugby player is no other than Tom Costello! Rugby player from the home town of the game, Rugby... on tour with the Old Laurentian Rugby club. The guy is a legend! And a millionaire.

More importantly he is a top bloke! And a legend at home or on tour!! Did he make it to hospital ok? LOL
